CARGO INSURANCE
Protect your valuable goods and shipments – Better Safe than Sorry
If you are transporting your goods internationally, there is always certain risks of things could go wrong while the goods are in transit. Damage, loss and theft can happen to cargo at any time and in any place during international transport. That’s where cargo insurance comes in.
Under the national and international laws and conventions, or general terms and conditions, the carrier’s liability policies are often limited in scope and provisions. It will not always cover your financial loss as a result of unforeseen circumstances during the transportation of your goods.
Some of the most common types of damage are outside a carrier’s liability, including fire, acts of God, strikes, accidents of the sea, insufficiency of packing, and more. With these regulations in place, proving a carrier is legally liable for your freight can be difficult.
There is no requirement to buy cargo insurance. However, it is highly recommended so you can better protect your goods from exposure to risks, in which some that could be catastrophic.
